About

Organised chaos.
Like the law itself.

I am a technology and commercial lawyer with eighteen years of in-house experience — and someone who has always believed that law, at its core, is just common sense dressed in careful language.

I have spent those years inside organisations like Microsoft, GlobalLogic, EXL Service, and Tata Teleservices, working on contracts, data privacy, AI governance, and the complex commercial questions that arise when technology moves faster than regulation. Before that, I appeared before the High Courts — which taught me that the best legal argument is almost always the clearest one.

I started The Clause & Effect because I wanted to share what I have learned — through writing, through resources for junior lawyers, and through honest engagement with the questions that don't yet have settled answers. Tech law is not static. Neither am I.

Outside the law, I write fiction and personal essays, paint, and make things with clay. I have a partner in law and life, two daughters, and a home in Noida that is rarely quiet. I find that creative practice and legal practice feed each other in ways I am still discovering.
